Industrial Thin Client

Industrial thin client computing has taken on a role in the industrial and manufacturing space. As part of a broader computing and control infrastructure, one can view the industrial thin client as a distribution of some computing services across several nodes or user interfaces. Thin clients can be used to extend existing DCS mesh network by providing a graphical user interface at the node while the remaining functionality remains at the server. Industrial thin clients may be diskless nodes, provide some computational processing, or some machine interaction at the node.

The nature of the thin client definition lends itself to simple computer terminals. In the industrial space, the following product offering presents opportunities to extend mesh networks in an affordable and reliably manner creating opportunity for increased plant and manufacturing operability.
