The iCAM Drive car camera is designed to capture brightness and contrast in the finest detail, even under conditions of extreme illumination. What our human eye can see and what needs to be recorded often extends over a very wide range of luminance intensities in one scene. combined with high-performance DSP systems produce crisp and clear pictures.

The iCAM Drive car camera is a high dynamic range mounted car camera system that has been designed to record video and pictures of traffic scenes from the inside of vehicles with these highlights:

In Car Camera Functionality

The high dynamic range of the iCAM Drive car camera allows capture of scenes from direct headlight conditions into direct sun backlight, keeping every single detail. Every single frame is a perfect shot, even under fast changing conditions, such as driving into, or out of a tunnel into direct sunlight. Link: Car Camera Video

The camera is placed inside the car close to the rear-view mirror. Recording continuously into a ring buffer, it sends the recording to a data logger via Ethernet connection.

For clients, we have developed a video capture software for the car camera system. The software is loaded onto a PC and in a basic mode captures images and video. We can extend the software further by applying data acquisition tools, region of interest or object of interest analysis and intelligence.
